Raduga TV owners reportedly set to sell up

The owners of Russian pay TV platform Raduga TV – Modern Times Group and Russia’s Continental Media – are reportedly planning to sell the platform, with Rostelecom identified as a likely buyer.

According to news agency Itar-Tass, Continental Media and MTG are in talks with Rostelecom and other pay TV players about a sale of the operation, which has about 220,000 subscribers.

Raduga TV ran into problems last year when media regulator the Roskomnadzor said it had failed to secure all necessary licences to operate, resulting in a number of inconclusive lawsuits.
