The UK-based Society for Broadband Professionals (SCTE) is to hold its annual Spring Lecture meeting on April 3 at the Eleanor Davies-Colley lecture theatre at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
This year’s agenda will feature topics including software-defined video in the era of Ultra HD, transitioning the HFC network towards a higher return split, Wi-Fi: The WLAN 802.11ac standard, the future of cable and practicalities of EMC testing.
The Spring Lecture will also feature a session on fibre versus coax access.
“The Spring Lecture is part of our regular series of lecture meetings across the globe, in which we aim to update and inform our members and the industry in general about the trends and developments that will affect our lives, both as individuals and in our working environment. I am delighted that we have been able to create such an interesting and thought-provoking programme to offer at the RCS,” said Roger Blakeway, SCTE president.
