TV Dozhd tops Lattelecom news channels viewing

Struggling Russian independent news channel TV Dozhd topped the viewing table of news and information channels added to Latvian telecom operator Lattelecom’s extended TV service over the last few weeks.

TV Dozhd, which is struggling in its native Russia after controversially being expelled from the line-ups of major pay TV operators, attracted an average of 34,000 viewers a day in Latvia, which has a significant Russian-speaking minority.

RTVi came second in the line-up  with 24,500 unique viewers a day, folowed by BBC World with 18,000.

CNN International, which is also available on Lattelecom’s basic package, trailed with 6,000 viewers.

Ukrainian general channel Inter+, which is currently available in test mode, attracted 20,000 viewers a day.
