Deutsche Telekom reported a 21% increase in European TV customers in 2013, following its acquisition last year of DIGI Slovakia.
Announcing its full year 2013 results, the German-based telco said that it ended December with 3.55 million European IPTV, satellite and cable customers – an increase of 619,000 year-on-year.
Though DIGI Slovakia helped boost the number, in Germany the firm also added 56,000 German IPTV customers, rounding out the year with 2.18 million.
Overall, Deutsche Telekom said that it reached its financial targets for 2013 and plans to invest further in growth having already invested €8.9 billion last year.
For the full year, the firm made a net profit of €930 million, with adjusted profits climbing 8.6% to €2.76 billion. Revenues were up 3.4% to €60.1 billion.
