Unitymedia KabelBW extends VoD with Prokino

Liberty Global-owned German cable operator Unitymedia KabelBW has added content from Germany VoD aggregator Prokino to its video-on-demand service, helping lift the number of titles in the operator’s catalogue from 6,000 to 8,000.

The deal brings movies including The Butler, Before Midnight and Biutiful to Unitymedia KabelBW subscribers.

The cable operator said that the number of transactional VoD views on its service had grown by 85% last year.
