Tele2 Netherlands appoints Virgin Media’s Dodds as CEO

Sweden-based European teleco Tele2 has appointed Virgin Media’s former chief marketing officer, Jeff Dodds, as the new CEO of Tele2 Netherlands. 

Dodds becomes executive vice president and CEO of the Dutch asset, replacing acting CEO Ernst-Jan van Rooijen who resumes his role as chief financial officer of Tele2 Netherlands.

Dodds joins after five years at Virgin Media in the UK, where he was most recently chief marketing officer, responsible for commercial strategy, customer experience and all aspects of brand and marketing.

Since October, he was also acting as an executive strategy consultant, working with European telecoms companies Liberty Global, ComHem and UK ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty.

Tele2 operates in 10 countries, including Sweden, the Netherlands, Norway and Kazakhstan.
