Russia’s Sistema Mass Media appoints president

Russia’s Sistema Mass Media, which counts TV, production and advertising holdings among its assets, has appointed former Sky Link and Rostelecom executive, Gulnara Khasyanova, as its president.

Khasyanova, who was appointed by Sistema’s board of directors during a board meeting this week, is due to take up her role on March 1.

She is currently CEO of the LTE Union. Prior to this, Khasyanova worked as managing director of Russian mobile operator Sky Link, as deputy director general for commercial activity at Interregional Transit Telecom, and in several roles at Rostelecom.

Sistema Mass-Media claims to be one of Russia’s largest media holdings and owns the Stream Television Company, Russian World Studios and Maxima advertising.
