TV software provider CoralTree has announced the successful upgrade to the Titan TV gateway, part of the daVinci portfolio, for Sky Deutschland.
CoralTree has teamed up with Cisco to provide a TV gateway platform for the German pay TV operator to enable secure activation of new video services.
The upgrade of the gateway, part of an overall Cisco upgrade to the VideoGuard conditional access system, is designed to future-proof the platform.
The Titan daVinci gateway performs smartcard and device authorisation for automated TV and video services provision.
“As Sky Deutschland grows, both from adding customers and an increased demand for our innovative services, we look to work in partnership with trusted suppliers to support our future business direction,” said Andreas Rudloff, vice-president, platform services, Sky Deutschland.
“We have a long-term relationship with CoralTree. Its technology, as part of the wider Cisco solution, gives us the confidence that we have a secure and scalable, high performance platform. This investment will support our ability to continue to grow and deliver exceptional customer services.”
