Movistar TV launches dedicated Formula 1 service

Telefónica’s Movistar TV service is to launch a dedicated Formula 1 channel and enhanced coverage of the sport in March.

Telefónica and Formula One Management have struck a deal whereby Telefónica will launch a new service that will enable motorsport fans to view Formula 1 coverage in HD across multiple screens, with up to six different feeds.

Movistar F1, a dedicated channel, will include own-produced content and supplementary information about the sport.

Content will also be available to Movistar customers via on-demand and the network DVR service that Telefónica launched in December.
