UK-based TV technology services firm Motive Television has joined the HbbTV consortium in a bid to make its Content Express technology “a component of the industry standard.”
A group of Broadcasters, consumer electronics firms and broadband providers created the HbbTV consortium to standardise the delivery of services to hybrid devices – including televisions and set-top boxes.
The HbbTV standard is already deployed European countries including Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
