Turner International has recruited Aksel van der Wal as senior VP, finance, for its EMEA operation, DTVE’s sister publication.
Van der Wal joins from entertainment publishing business Time Out where he was global CEO.
At Turner he will work across the company’s channel brands, which include news net CNN, kids offerings Cartoon Network and Cartoonito and entertainment offerings TCM and TNT, heading up financial planning and managing the commercial finance team across the EMEA region. He will also work with Turner’s wider international team.
Prior to a three-year stint at Time Out, Van der Wal was at online ticket exchange operation Seatwave. He has also held senior financial and business development roles at telco Vodafone.
