Sony Entertainment Television launches on TalkTalk

Sony Pictures Television Networks has launched its general entertainment channel, Sony Entertainment Television (SET), through UK pay TV operator TalkTalk for the first time.

The network goes live today and will be available on channel 454 of TalkTalk’s YouView pay television service as part of the operator’s Entertainment and Entertainment Extra Boost packages.

SET is a global channel brand that airs light and scripted entertainment, feature films and series from the Hollywood studios – such as Will and Grace and Hot in Cleveland.

The UK version of the channel, which is already available on Sky Channel 157 and on Virgin Media on channel 193, is tailored to include British TV series such as The Tudors and Life on Mars.

“This new carriage agreement with TalkTalk marks the latest expansion of Sony Entertainment Television’s audience in the UK. We look forward to bringing top SET series and features to TalkTalk customers,” said Kate Marsh, senior vice-president for Western Europe, SPT Networks.
