Opera Software has partnered with Samsung, marking the tenth company that has signed up to use its Opera TV Store app platform.
Apps from the Opera TV Store will be available on selected Samsung Blu-ray players – including Series 5 and some Series 4 models.
Opera says its app store delivers hundreds of HTML5-based apps from content owners covering video, music, games, social media, news and utilities.
The Opera TV Store debuted in March 2012 on Sony Bravia TVs and Blu-ray Disc players and has since shipped on a host of TiVo, TCL and Hisense devices. Agreements have also been announced with MediaTek, Humax, Changhong, Konka and Amino.
