Deutsche Telekom CFO takes over top job

Deutsche Telekom’s chief financial officer (CFO) Timotheus Höttges has taken over from outgoing CEO René Obermann. 

The transition, which was first announced a year ago, came into effect from January 1, with Obermann moving to take the CEO job at Dutch cable operator Ziggo.

Thomas Dannenfeldt, Deutsche Telekom’s managing director, finance and controlling, responsible for the group’s German business activities, has now taken over as CFO, the firm said in a statement.
