Antenna Group buys Romanian music network

Media firm Antenna Group has bought Kiss TV and a string of radio stations from ProSiebenSat.1 in Romania.

The deal includes Magic FM, One FM and Rock FM, with Antenna claiming it marks the latest stage in its growth strategy and that it plans to expand its presence in South East Europe.

“I’m delighted that we’ve been able to acquire these market leading assets in a country as significant as Romania.  These represent Antenna’s first presence in Romania and we look forward to working closely with management to help them grow even further.  Antenna Group is committed to expanding its presence in South East Europe. This is the latest stage in our growth strategy,” said Antenna Group CEO Theo Kyriakou.

Antenna Group said that it is now preparing to expand further following recent investments in PRVA Montenegro, Planet TV in Slovenia and PRVA Televisija in Serbia.

Antenna currently operates across Europe, North America and Australia and has offices in Amsterdam, London, Athens and New York. It distributes content in over 20 countries.
