MTS strategy chief leaves for Sistema

Russian service provider MTS’s vice-president for strategy, mergers and acquisitions and corporate development, Michael Hecker, is to leave to take on a strategy role at the company’s majority owner Sistema.

German-born Hecker will become vice-president and head of strategy at Sistema. MTS said his replacement would be chosen from the company’s current management team.

Sistema holds a 53% stake in MTS.
