A+E international boss exits

Steve Ronson, A+E’s international chief, has exited the company,  DTVE sister title TBI has learned.

Ronson was executive VP, international television, digital media and consumer products at A+E, which operates channels including History, Lifetime and Crime & Investigation and syndicates factual, fact-ent and scripted programming around the world.

He was at A+E for over 13 years, but it is understood he has now left the company.

Ronson had been in charge of international at A+E since 2004 and oversaw channel distribution on pay platforms and on-demand services as well as the programme sales side of the business.

It is understood that Ronson, who is based in New York, is currently advising several media companies.

A+E’s international business is headquartered in New York. The company confirmed Ronson’s departure.
Sean Cohan, executive VP, international, has been instrumental in many of the company’s recent channel launches and initiatives and has taken over his responsibilities.

As well as rolling out female-skewing Lifetime internationally, A+E is launching the A&E brand into markets outside the US. It has also created an in-house studio in the US this year to feed original content to its US and global channels.
