German free and pay TV broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has struck a master agreement with Constantin Film to secure rights to the films of DreamWorks SKG studios.
The deal will cover all films from DreamWorks that begin shooting by the end of 2016 for which Constantin Media holds the German-language rights.
The agreement gives ProSiebenSat.1 exclusive rights for both free and pay TV in Germany and Austria.
Movies covered by the deal include current titles The Fifth Estate, Delivery Man and Need for Speed.
“It is great that we are able to secure the rights to the upcoming DreamWorks productions together with our partner Constantin Film. This adds numerous premium titles to our library and will allow us to keep offering our viewers first-class entertainment from Hollywood in future as well,” said Rüdiger Böss, senior vice-president, group programming acquisitions, ProSiebenSat.1.
