Viacom to take back control of MTV in Czech Republic, Slovakia

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) is set to take the operational activities of MTV in the Czech Republic and Slovakia back in-house.

A spokesperson for Viacom confirmed the move to DTVE and said the transition would take place from January 2014.

Czech CET MTV reportedly launched in 2009, serving Czech and Slovakian audiences.

Earlier this year, VIMN re-launched the Russian version of MTV, following the end of its partnership with local media group ProfMedia late last year.
