Technology provider Quiptel has launched Quiptel Media Platform (QMP) version 3.0, a set of software modules designed to enable adaptive streaming-based IPTV, OTT, on-demand and catch-up TV services over both unmanaged and managed networks.
QMP is offered as a white-label managed service or via traditional software licensing.
QMP includes Quiptel’s QFlow, QNav and QRouter technologies and its internet traffic management technology. Software players are available on Android, iOS and Linux devices, smart TVs and PC clients.
“[QMP] provides a greater than 50% capex and opex saving for service providers over traditional IPTV systems, enabling a quicker time to market while expressly focusing on quality of service video delivery,” said chief technology officer and Quiptel founder Peter Do.
