Turkish satellite pay TV provider Digiturk has signed two new one-year contracts with UK-based TV technology services firm Motive Television Services.
The first allows Digiturk to use Motive’s head-end and software development kit (SDK). The second is a service level agreement covering support and maintenance services that Motive Services will provide to Digiturk.
The agreements are the first direct deals between Digiturk and Motive, but will not affect the November 2012-announced five-year software license deal between Motive and Sagemcom Broadband SAS, Motive said.
Under that contract, Motive will continue to receive a licence fee for each set-top box manufactured by Sagemcom for Digiturk use in Turkey.
“We are pleased with the progress of Digiturk’s non-linear services platform and look forward to continued co-operation with Motive Television to develop added features and capabilities,” said Cem Taylan Ozsipahi, head of STB and conditional access for Digiturk.
