UK-based Engage Sports Media has partnered with white label video publishing firm thePlatform, which will provide the back-end video management system for Engage’s online content.
Engage will use Comcast subsidiary thePlatform’s cloud-based mpx management system to manage and distribute video content for its football, rugby and cricket clients – including Rugby Union governing body, the International Rugby Board (IRB).
“At Engage Sports Media, all our clients have different requirements, however, want to serve their fans with high-quality sports videos, across virtually any device, while carefully managing business policies and content rights’ obligations,” said Gregg Oldfield, managing director of Engage Sports Media.
Engage works with sports rights holders to maximise the value of their non-live rights, with ESM digital studio creating, producing, distributing and monetising content across TV, online and mobile for the firm’s partners.
