Netflix has updated its iOS app to include HD streaming and support for Apple Airplay – which lets users stream content from their iPhone or iPad to their TV.
The new app will stream Netflix videos in HD on any iOS 7 device, provided the title is available in high definition and the internet connection is fast enough.
The Airplay function, also for iOS7 devices, will allow viewers with an Apple TV device to choose a title on their iPhone or iPad and click to play it back on their TV.
In this way iOS device will act as a remote control for an Apple TV box, with viewers able to pause, seek, select audio or subtitles and stop playback.
