Orange launches converged service in Slovakia

Orange has launched what it says is Slovakia’s first converged service combining fixed and mobile internet, telephony and TV.

Orange launched personalised mobile user profiles in Slovakia under the brand name Animals in April, with each animal symbolising a different profile. The company followed up with the launch of DSL internet services including Lite TV, a slimmed-down version of the Orange TV service.

It has now extended the Animals concept to its full range of domestic services with Orange Pré Rodinu – Orange for the Family – which gives a 20% discount on all Orange services to a family where one member has an Animals subscription.

The telco has also introduced a 31-days catch-up TV service – which it says is the longest catch-up window on offer in the country – and a new Fiber TV decoder to boost the TV service.
