Romtelecom restructures to provide unified management with mobile arm

Romtelecom has made a series of management appointments to integrate its operations with those of Cosmote Romania, its mobile sister company.

Romtelecom is abolishing the role of chief commercial officer and has named the current holder of that post, Mathias Hanel, as commercial chief for the residential segment across both fixed and mobile operations.

Ovidiu Ghiman, currently commercial chief for Romtelecom’s residential segment, will become chief commercial officer for the business segment across both fixed and mobile arms. The current business segment commercial chief, Mihai Tudor, is to leave the company.

Bob Konstantinidis, currently executive director of operations and technology for Romtelecom, will extend his responsibilities to include Cosmote. The current Cosmote technical director Lampros Iskos is to become chief technology officer for T-Mobile Netherlands.
