MTS Belarus, a joint venture between the Russian telecom giant and Belarusian government-owned Beltelecom, is to build a fibre-to-the-building network in the country, according to Russian reports.
The move follows a pilot project in Minsk in 2012 covering 15,000 households in 102 apartment buildings. Large-scale construction of the network is expected to begin next month, covering about 1,100 apartment buildings in the capital.
