French technology company Technicolor has signed a three-year extension to its deal with US satellite TV operator DirecTV.
Under the agreement, Technicolor will continue to develop and offer HD set-top boxes and home video services for DirecTV – a firm it has partnered with for the past 20 years.
“Technicolor has consistently delivered the reliable, high quality products we need in order to remain at the forefront of the satellite television industry. We look forward to continuing our relationship and our leadership position as we enter new frontiers of innovation in the delivery of the best television viewing experience to our subscribers throughout the United States and Latin America,” said Henry Derovanessian, senior vice president, hardware engineering for DirecTV.
