French cable operator Numericable has signed up 216,000 customers for its LaBox Fibre offering and has passed 700,000 fibre customers out of a total of 1.65 million customers, representing a penetration rate of over 40% of its customer base.
The LaBox Fibre base grew by 41% year-on-year. The number of of customers taking TV only from Numericable has fallen from 393,000 to 328,000 in June.
Numericable’s internet base grew by 11% year-on-year to reach 1.322 million in June. The number includes 320,000 Bouygues Telecom subscribers, whose Bbox Sensation fibre offering uses Numericable’s infrastructure.
Numericable saw its first half revenues grow by 3.8% to €453 million. Operating profit was flat year-on-year at €230 million.
