Finalists named for IABM Awards

The International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (IABM) has announced the 10 finalists for its 2013 Design and Innovation Awards, which will be announced at an awards reception on September 14 following the close of IBC.

Nexidia leads pack with two nominations – for its Dialogue Search and Nexidia QC products. Also up for the prize are Ericsson for its AVP 4000 encoder, Harris Broadcast’s Platinum IP3, Viaccess-Orca’s DEEP platform and NOAH by Noah Broadcast Solutions.

The other finalists are Axon for Axon Neuron, Canare for Active BNC, Ikegami’s HDK-97ARRI and Dejero and Integrated Microwave Technologies’ Dejero + Nucomm Connect Live.

“Currently, our sector is spending about 14% of sales revenues on R&D as broadcast and media technology vendors seek new and ingenious ways of solving these challenges. The IABM Awards for Design and Innovation program identifies some of the very best of the new products that have come to market in the past year and singles them out for the recognition they deserve,” said IABM director-general Peter White.
