Eurosport acquires German women’s football

Eurosport has acquired the rights to the German women’s Bundesliga football league for the next two seasons.

Eurosport has secured the rights to broadcast live matches on each of the 22 match days for the 2013-14 an 2015-16 seasons. The deal with the DFB gives Eurosport international options to broadcast the Women’s Bundesliga across its 54 markets in Europe and 17 markets in Asia-Pacific. All matches will be broadcast in HD.

Eurosport already holds rights to as the FIFA Women’s World Cup, UEFA Women’s Euro, Women’s UEFA Champions League, Algarve Cup and age-group international competitions such as the U17 and U20 FIFA World Cups and U17 and U19 UEFA European Championships.
