TalkTalk passes half million YouView customers

Over 500,000 customers have signed up for UK service provider TalkTalk’s YouView offering since its launch just under a year ago, according to the company.

TalkTalk launched YouView in September 2012, making the £299 YouView set-top available free of charge to broadband subscribers. According to TalkTalk, the majority of YouView customers are migrating from free-to-view services.

TalkTalk reported 390,000 YouView customers at the end of June.
