TV4 to shut down news channel, expand online coverage

Swedish commercial broadcaster TV4 is to shut down its premium news channel and expand the range of news services available via its TV Play on-demand service and online.

TV4 has struck a deal with newspaper Expressen to provide live news for TV4 Play and tv4.se on a free-to-view basis. The premium news channel will cease to broadcast in the autumn.
