Polsat cleared over football broadcasts

Polish regulators have dropped an investigation into Polsat’s pay-per view broadcast of two World Cup qualifier matches last year, concluding it had not breached any rules.

Polsat said that it decided to offer subscribers access to the Poland versus Montenegro and Moldova matches after Poland’s public broadcasters said they would not offer the matches, claiming that it had legal distributer rights to show the games on a pay-per view basis.
