Clearleap launches in Europe

US-based multiscreen technology provider Clearleap has opened a European headquarters in Amsterdam and is debut its Clearleap multiscreen platform at the forthcoming IBC trade show.

Clearleap, which provides back-office infrastructure to support multiscreen deployments by both content providers and pay TV operators, has named Preben Schack as vice-president of sales, EMEA. Schack previously worked as vice-president of sales and marketing at TeleBilling.

The company has two European data centres in Amsterdam and Frankfurt to support deployments.
Clearleap has a number of high-profile customers in the US including HBO, Scripps Networks, Verizon and Time Warner.

Clearleap is headed by former N2 Broadband and Tandberg TV executive Braxton Jarratt. Jarratt said the company expected to have a staff of about 10-20 in Europe to serve the market initially.
