Eurosport Group has signed a deal with Mediaset that will see the Eurosport and Eurosport 2 networks distributed on its premium pay TV package in Italy.
The two standard definition channels will be available in Italian from autumn, at no extra cost to subscribers of the Mediaset Premium package.
Eurosport will live coverage of sports including tennis, cycling, basketball, handball, hockey, swimming and motorsports.
Mediaset pay TV sport customers also get access to English Premier League and FA Cup, Spanish Liga and French Ligue 1 football.
Eurosport is a pan-European TV channel that broadcasts in 20 languages and claims to reach 131 million homes across 54 countries.
