Dailymotion to stream summer of festivals

Dailymotion has launched a dedicated space for its coverage of music festivals over the summer.

The Orange-owned video site has launched Summer Music Festivals. The site will stream performances from festivals in the US, UK, France, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, and Hungary throughout July and August, featuring bands including Queens of the Stone Age, Suede, Neil Young & Crazyhorse, Arctic Monkeys, Blur, Wu Tang Clan, Slayer, Lamb of God, 30 Seconds to Mars, Snoop Lion and Justice.

Viewers will be able to embed players into their own social media pages to share with friends as well as watching the events live on Dailymotion. Archive footage from the festivals will also be available on the site for up to three months.

Dailymotion’s summer festival coverage will kick off with this week’s Volt Festival in Hungary, followed by Les Eurockéennes in Belfort, France, the Cruilla Festival in Barcelona, Jazz à Vienne in Vienne, France, Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in New York, Astropolis in Brest, France, Dour in Belgium, Tout un Foin in France, Paleo Festival in Nyon, Switzerland, Balaton Sound by Lake Balaton in Hungary and Kendal Calling in the UK, all in July. In August it will stream coverage of the  Open Air Festival in Derbyshire, the UK and Rock en Seine in France.
