Arris appoints former Verizon exec to board

Technology provider Arris has appointed Doreen Toben, the former chief financial officer of US telco Verizon, to the board of directors. 

Toben held the CFO role between 1992 and 1999. In February 1999 she became executive vice president of Verizon until her retirement in June the same year.

A 30-year telecoms veteran, Toben also previously worked at AT&T and Bell Atlantic and is a board member of Fifth & Pacific Companies and The New York Times Company.
