Ofcom orders Scuzz to clean up

UK broadcast regulator has fined the owner of digital satellite channel Scuzz £10,000 for broadcasting offensive language, sexualised imagery and depictions of illegal drug taking before the 9pm watershed.

Ofcom ruled that CSC Media Group Limited should be liable for the fine for serious breaches of the broadcasting code, claiming that it broke six rules, including that “children must also be protected by appropriate scheduling from material that is unsuitable for them.”

UK channel Scuzz broadcasts rock and pop-punk music videos.
