Korean international channel ArirangTV is extending its reach in Russia and launching in Tanzania.
In Russia, ArirangTV will be available on the pay TV platforms of Rostelecom, MTS and ER-Telecom from July. The channel has held a broadcasting licence in Russia since 2011, having began subtitling its service in Russian in 2008. This year the channel added age ratings to all programmes, as required under Russian law.
ArirangTV is also launching in Tanzania on the country’s digital-terrestrial platform in July. The channel will be available 24 hours a day. Arirang has already sold content including Autumn in My Heart, Queen of Sonduk and Prince of the Legend to Tanzanian broadcasters.
