French ISP Free has launched a new version of its Freebox to replace the legacy HD V5 box.
The new design, dubbed Crystal by Free, comprises a gateway/router and separate TV decoder, similar to the more advanced Freebox Révolution.
The white, slightly translucid dual-box system comes with cabling, two ‘Freeplugs’ and a redesigned remote control, with a new TV interface.
The Crystal will be made available as part of a triple-play offering at €29.99, a lower cost than the €35.98 charged for the premium Freebox Révolution.
