Chello Zone has acquired more than 50 titles from Sony Pictures Television for Turkish channel Moviemax Speed.
Chello brokered the deal on behalf of pay TV platform Digiturk, which owns the action and adventure movie net.
The deal comprises 41 feature films such as Anaconda, Boyz ‘n the Hood and Street Fighter, six miniseries including The Gathering (Peter Gallagher) and Robert Duvall-starring Broken Trail, plus others.
Adam Robinson, director of programming and Acquisitions for Moviemax Speed, said: “The series and films included in this deal further invigorate the schedule for our Digiturk viewers with iconic, timeless and action packed titles.”
Moviemax Speed launched in 2010 to replace Actionmax. Chello is responsible for stocking its content each year, as part of a content management agreement.
