France-based technology group Sagemcom has joined the Mulitimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) as an associate member.
Sagemcom, which provides a range of digital set-top boxes, DVRs and gateway devices, will incorporate MoCA into its products.
“Integrating MoCA into our products will enable service providers to deliver a highly reliable in-home backbone for extending and enhancing existing WiFi networks and providing the Quality of Experience that consumers have come to expect. With a MoCA-based network, consumers can move an ever-expanding range of media content around the home quickly and easily,” said Ahmed Selmani, deputy CEO of Sagemcom Broadband.
