Chello DMC appoints VOD director

Playout provider Chello DMC has appointed former KPN executive Mike Riegel as director of VOD services, based in Amsterdam. 

Riegel will be responsible for managing the video-on-demand team and for the commercial development of VOD services for Chello DMC clients.

With the new hire, Chello DMC, which offers playout and content management solutions, said that it is increasing its focus on VOD to align itself to “the changing market trends in viewing content.”

“Chello DMC already has a wealth of experience within the VOD area and I believe that with focus on execution and fulfilling commercial promises, we will create a more powerful VOD service for our clients,” said Riegel.

He previously worked for companies including KPN, Telfort and Hewlett Packard where he was responsible for implementing new business initiatives.

Chello DMC’s clients include leading channel brands like National Geographic, Fox Life, The History Channel, MGM, JimJam and Disney Channel.
