Amazon signs Viacom VOD content deal

Amazon has signed a multi-year video licensing deal with Viacom, giving Amazon Prime Instant and LoveFilm viewers access to TV shows from MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.

The expanded multi-national agreement applies to Amazon Prime Instant Video subscribers in the US, with some of the content to also be made available to LoveFilm later this summer.

Content covered by the deal includes kids programming such as Bubble Guppies and future episodes of Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as MTV and Comedy Central shows like Awkward, Tosh.0 and Workaholics.
