WISI to present new Chameleon features

WISI will use ANGA COM to present its headend conception Chameleon, extended by a number of new software features. Chameleon now has an integrated DVB simulcrypt scrambler that can be activated by a software key to more easily protect DVB content.

The encryption system can therefore be connected via IP or ASI interface, and the operation of an external scrambler is not necessary any more. Additional features include new timer and trigger based functions for time-sharing, flexible redundancies and the integrated extraction of NITs in cable networks.

Chameleon features include DVB tuners for different outputs, transmodulators, Edge-QAM, MPEG-4 decoding, IP and ASI streaming and re-multiplexing. Tangram is a high-density platform for edge applications such as IP-Gateway, Edge-QAM, Edge-COFDM, Edge-PAL and Edge-FM. The system offers redundant power supplies, 1+1 and n+1 redundancy, time sharing, SNMP management, and replacement of modules and fans during operation.

WISI has also extended its Tangram product family with four new modules: the new DVB-IP gateway IP streamer GT 31, the switch extension board GT 12, the decryption module GT 42 and the Edge-COFDM module GT 24.

WISI will also highlight Optopus, its access platform for optical networks including FTTx with RF Overlay, RF over Glass architectures as well as HFC applications. At ANGA COM WISI is presenting the LX 35 optical high performing amplifier (EDFA).

WISI will also highlight AiMS, a multiscreen content management solution. At ANGA COM WISI and its partner IP.Netcom will demonstrate HbbTV via conventional IPTV and show a Set-top box working with the ETSI DVB-IP standard that is able to process and display HbbTV functionalities and content (multicast TV channels) via an IP net. WISI will also present its OH compact headend system with the OH66 twin A/V encoder module.

WISI will exhibit at ANGA COM on Stand E9, Hall 10.2.
