Antik to take Android TV gateway to ANGA COM

Digital TV device manufacturer Antik Technology is due to present its Android home gateway, Juice Extreme 2, at ANGA COM.

The IP device comes with four DVB tuners and uses the Orly StiH416 system-on-a-chip by STMicrosystems. Antik said it is one of the first devices to use this advanced STMicrosystems chip.

The device can receive, transcode and stream 4 channels simultaneously to home smart devices, such as tablets, smartphones or TVs via fixed ethernet or its built-in WiFi client.

“The Orly STiH416 supports the new ways that people want to use the web, watch TV, to share their own digital content and network with friends while at home,” said Antik.

The device can also manage software environments such as Android, HTML5, XBMC and Qt for optimised playback of content and applications, and to handle 3D graphics for advanced user interfaces, gaming and 3DTV.

Antik will exhibit at ANGA COM at stand S-32, Hall 10.1.
