JimJam launches on Russia’s Tricolor TV

Chello Zone is set to launch its pre-school kidss network JimJam on Russian satellite platform Tricolor TV on June 1.

The network will launch to coincide with Tricolor’s new kid’s tier of content, which it announced earlier this month, and will be the second Chello Zone channel to be carried by Tricolor after the Outdoor Channel.

Chello Zone is a business unit of Chellomedia, the European content division of Liberty Global. Earlier this month Liberty Global declined to comment on a Wall Street Journal report, claiming that it has put the Chellomedia business up for sale.

Tricolor TV claims more than 30 million subscribers and broadcasts to Russia, Siberia, Ural and Far East regions. JimJam launched in 2006 and is available in 13 languages across more than 60 territories in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
