Deutsche Telekom invests in multi-screen video startup

Deutsche Telekom has lead a €500,000 seed funding round in Berlin and Amsterdam-based startup Vigour.io – a firm that makes an app template for video playback on different devices.

The investment was made through Deutsche Telekom’s startup incubator Hub:Raum, with Vigour the fifth firm to get backing from the fund.

The firm has created a development platform to build connected applications that run on any device, with Vigour Video – a customisable app template – its first product.

Vigour, formerly known as Brisk.io, was founded in 2012 and is run by a five-person team. Dutch technology investor Linden Mobile Ventures, and tech company DG-i also contributed in the round.
