Pay TV operator Canal+ has launched a Spotify app to provide music recommendations.
The app, called Music Moments and developed by agency The Connected Set, was launched to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival. In addition to recommendations, it allows users to follow music-related content from the broadcaster, with features including Le Live du Grand Journal, Coming Next and L’Album de la Semaine as well as live sessions from Canal Street.
Music Moments also allows users to discover and share content from presenters including Michel Denisot, Mouloud Achour, Vincent Glad, Emma de Caunes and Ariel Wizman.
The app is also integrated with Instagram to enable users to share their own photos illustrating their own ‘music moments’ via dedicated hashtags.
Canal+ signed a partnership agreement with Spotify in December and created a dedicated Music by Canalplus.fr site.
