German service provider NetCologne has launched an expansion of its fibre-optic network in the districts of Sinnersdorf, Sinthern and Geyen.
The upgrade will give subscribers in these areas the ability to access internet speeds of up to 50Mbps, with the first customers expected to be connected this autumn.
NetCologne expects that the upgrade will bring fast internet to a further 6,000 households and small businesses and 170 larger companies.
